The statutes and rules, including local rules, governing the drafting, filing and service of most civil litigation documents are covered in the San Bernardino County Superior Court SmartRules Guides. The Guides are updated in real time, often containing updated rules and requirements before those amendments are available to the public.
Effective July 1, 2009, the following San Bernardino County Superior Court local rules will be amended:
133, Trial Jury Venires;
592, Failure to Object (deleted from Chapter 5, Civil Law and Motion);
Chapter 10, Unlawful Detainer, (now contains no local rules but references California Code of Civil Procedure section 1161 et seq.); and
1460.7, 1461 and 1461.1 (from Chapter 14, Counsel, Investigator and Expert Fees).
The revisions have been provided to the SmartRules editorial staff and the SmartRules Guides for San Bernardino County Superior Court will be updated with the amended versions of the rules, showing the changes, on or before June 26, 2009.
