We all know technology makes a tedious task easier but in some instances, it can now make things less expensive as well.

If you incurred a traffic ticket or other citation in Los Angeles County, you can now take care of your ticket and pay any fees online at www.lacourt.com.

Other existing online features designed to save litigants (especially those representing themselves) and attorneys’ time and money will available, and in some instances, offer improvements.

Many online fees have been lowered as an incentive to for potential courthouse visitors to utilize the website instead – even the fee for using a credit card for payment has been cut in half. The new service became effective Monday, March 30, 2015 with the tagline, “Get Online, Not In Line”, a campaign which offers online visitors improved features including a website assistant available in both English and Spanish to help visitors decide which specific traffic transaction they need.

Plans are in place for additional languages to be added to the site in the future. The new features are expected to reduce congestion and long lines at the courthouses (which are known to have lines wrapping around buildings each morning prior to opening.
