Online Innovations at the Los Angeles Superior Court

The Los Angeles Superior Court Public Information Office has announced the implantation of additional online innovations to increase convenience and effectiveness in managing traffic matters without having to visit a courthouse.

Current statistics indicate an average of 1.5 million visits to the court website each month. New features and ongoing website enhancements have proven to be useful in drawing more visitors to handle situations online. This has resulted in a dramatic decrease in the number of visitors to courthouse – one courthouse has reported a wait time decreased from hours to mere minutes.

The court has been promoting these new services with ads on the court’s van fleet, billboards, posters and handouts in public institutions such as law libraries and Self-Help Resource Centers.

One recent upgrade feature has been the ability for non-delinquent citations to establish payment plans online. Future upgrades include instructions in other languages beyond just English and Spanish.
