New York Courts Continue to Expand Electronic Filing

New York State Courts continuously improve, expand and update their electronic filing system. Previous changes took effect August 16, 2017. The court’s new electronic filing new requirements will go into effect on January 24, 2018.

New E-Filing Requirements Effective January 24, 2018

The following New York Courts will be implementing new electronic filing requirements on January 24, 2018.

Cortland County Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Essex Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Jefferson Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Lewis Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Livingston Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Monroe Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Oswego Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Oswego County Surrogate’s Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new probate and administrations proceedings and related miscellaneous proceedings.

Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new probate and administrations proceedings and related miscellaneous proceedings.

Tompkins Supreme Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new civil cases (with a few exceptions).

Ulster County Surrogate’s Court

Electronic filing will be mandatory for all new probate and administrations proceedings and related miscellaneous proceedings.
