LASC Offers Temporary Family Law Judge Training

The Los Angeles Superior Court is offering Family Law Training to temporary judges on July 21st.

Temporary Judges may now receive MCLE credit for Family Law Training beginning June 21, 2017 through the Los Angeles Superior Court Temporary Judge Program and Supervising Judge of Family Law Thomas Trent Lewis.  The Temporary Judge Program is open to the following: attorneys interested in hearing family law matters who are currently temporary judges, new applicants or attorneys interested in joining the Temporary Judge Program.

It is important to note that this training must be preceded by another MCLE course: Bench Conduct and Demeanor training on June 16, 2017.  Enrollment and prepayment is required by June 7, 2017. This is a 3 credit course to be applied as follows: 1.0 hour will apply to elimination of bias in the legal profession credit, 1.0 hour will apply to legal ethics credit, and 1.0 hour will apply to general credit
