California’s Ventura County Superior Court has a proposed a new local rule which would put into effect an Ability-To-Pay Pilot Program. The new rule, if enacted, would allow traffic infraction defendants to request an ability-to-pay determination. The request would be completed either online or in person.
The proposed new rule, if adopted, will be numbered Ventura County Superior Court Rule 11.06, will be effective January 1, 2019.
The court will accept comments on the proposed new rule until November 1st.
