In addition to changing the requirements for electronic filing for attorneys on June 13, 2016, the District of New Jersey made substantial amendments to their local rules on September 30, 2016.
In part these amendments align New Jersey District local rules with the December 2015 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
The court has also made changes to requirements for Scheduling Orders filed after the September 30th changes.
The procedures for seeking to file documents under seal have been substantially updated, including the requirement to include an index and the timing for filing the reacted version.
See our District of New Jersey guides for full details.
Whether the changes are minimal or substantial, SmartRules guides keep you updated so you know you’re working with the most current court requirements.
