On October 21, 2008, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia issued amendments to Local Civil Rule 7 and Local Criminal Rule 47 to conform to the recent revisions of Federal Criminal Rule of Procedure 49.1(b)(1) and Federal Civil Rule of Procedure 5.2(b)(1).  The proposed amendments will take effect on November 25, 2008, subject to revisions in light of any comments received.
