The California Superior Courts will be closed to the public on the third Wednesday of each month due to a mandatory statewide closure.

On June 29, 2009, California enacted its Electronic Discovery Act.

Effective July 1, 2009, the following San Bernardino County Superior Court local rules will be amended:

Effective July 1, 2009, the following Riverside County Superior Court local rules will be amended: 1.0015, Designation of Branch, 1.0091, Direct Fax Filing,

Effective July 1, 2009, the Orange County Superior Court local rules in Division 3, Practice Rules, (and some rules in Divisions 4, Civil Cases Over $25,000, 5 , Civil Law and Motion, Cases Over $25,000, and 8, Criminal) will be substantially re-written and re-numbered.

Before the New York State Legislature there is an act to amend the civil practice law and rules, in relation to the time of service, the time in which a defect in form must be raised, a copy of a proposed amended pleading, the use of subpoenas duces tecum, and the time of voluntary discontinuances.

The San Francisco Superior Court makes the following amendments to its local rules effective July 1, 2009.
